WHY SUPPORT BELLFLOWER SYMPHONY
Since 1968, BSO has served our community by educating, enriching, and entertaining the residents and children of Bellflower and the Fourth District of Los Angeles County through performances of varied symphonic and orchestral music.
Your donation helps make it possible for the Symphony to present four symphonic concerts each season right here in the City of Bellflower. As a community orchestra, our largest expense is providing modest stipends to our 50–60 dedicated musicians and soloists—barely covering gas, rehearsal time, and proper concert attire. Additional costs include music, flyers, tickets, programs, and other essential production expenses.
As longtime patron Jane Bristol once said, “Since 1968, the Bellflower Symphony Orchestra has added luster to this community by offering live music in a concert hall specifically designed for this music.” Today, that space proudly bears the name William and Jane Bristol Auditorium in recognition of their lasting support.
Our concerts are free to Bellflower residents, ensuring that high-quality live orchestral music remains accessible to all. Programs such as our free Summer Concert and the Young Artists Concerto Competition bring cultural prestige to the city while providing musical training, mentorship, and performance opportunities for young musicians from underserved and diverse local communities.
The Bellflower Symphony Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Your support directly sustains live music, nurtures young talent, and strengthens the cultural life of our community.
