Meet the Conductor of Bellflower Symphony Orchestra!
Heriberto Ramos, our newly installed conductor, grew up playing cello within LAUSD’s public school music program and later at the reputable Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). After receiving a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of California Irvine, Heriberto attended the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach where he earned his California Teaching Credential in music.
Heriberto has experienced first-hand the life-changing power of music and is passionate about sharing it with audiences and students through performance and education. As a dual performer and educator he teaches cello privately, teaches instrumental music for Garden Grove Unified School District, plays with the La Mirada and Bellflower Symphonies, and volunteers with the North Torrance Youth Musicians Ensemble, a non-profit organization dedicated to music education.
